CDC

Question

We are looking at implementing CDC and I am interested in finding some pros/cons to it. The other method I am considering is using triggers and am curious how CDC stacks up against triggers.
Can anybody explain how it is being used in your scenario? Are you using the CDC tables to load a data store or are you loading your warehouse directly from the CDC tables? If you are loading the warehouse directly, how are you storing the complete history?
If anybody with experience could help me out here it would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Andy

In my DW I am using CDC to load changes since last package execution.
You may want to check this document: Change Data Capture since Last Request Package Sample, and this post Triggers, Service Broker, CDC or Change Tracking?

I've started posting about how we use Change Data Capture to update OLAP database. First part can be found on: http://borisfrolovsqlservertips.wordpress.com/2012/10/21/change-data-capture-practice-experience-part-1/. I'm planning to finish this story through two more posts.
Hope this helps.
