SharePoint - Navigation pane error RRS feed

  • Question

  • The navigation pane is not rendering properly. It was working correctly last week but the SharePoint environment was recently upgraded. How can I fix it?

    Hi Qwerty, did this fix your issue?

    We've just hit the same thing in a new SP 2013 Standard farm after a bunch of patches were applied.

  • Sorry for the late reply, but I found a similar problem in my environment and I solved by applying a Powershell code:

    $web = Get-SPWeb "http://url"

    $navNodes = $Web.Navigation.TopNavigationBar
    #title of the broken link
    $brokenNodes = $navNodes | where { $_.Title -eq "Group" }

    for($i = $brokenNodes.Count - 1; $i -ge 0; $i--)
    {
      Write-Host "Deleting " $brokenNodes[$i].Title " " $brokenNodes[$i].ID
      $brokenNodes[$i].Delete()
    }

    $web.Dispose()

    With this I was able to solve the problem with no effort :D

    Hope it helps ;)
