VS 2012 WPF Designer - Bind data context to a Custom Data Source at design time RRS feed

  • Question

  • I'll try to explain at the best my question.

I've created a VSPackage that consists in a Toolbox that is able to establish a connection to a WCF Data Server.

Now, what I'd like to achieve is (at DESIGN TIME): create a WPF application, drag a control (custom or default) and bind the data context directly with the WCF Server.

Is this possible in any way? How? What is the best approach?

Thank you and sorry if I posted in a wrong forum's section.

Based on my understanding, design time is used to XAML Code to establish the binding with data source. See: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ee373846(v=vs.110).aspx

According to your information, I think the VSPackage is ok.

    >>Now, what I'd like to achieve is (at DESIGN TIME): create a WPF application, drag a control (custom or default) and bind the data context directly with the WCF Server.

I will move it to WPF forum for better response.

    Thank you for your understanding!

    Best regards,
