Cannot Activate Windows 8 Developer Preview

Question
-
I've been trying to activate Windows 8 Developer Preview for a few days now and it always fails with Error Code 0x80072EE2 "The operation timed out". Any suggestions? Certain features don't work until the thing is activated.

Hi sc456a,
I don't think you need to activate WDP, if you type to Search 'activate windows' in Settings, click on Activate Windows, chances are that you will find that Windows is Activated.

OK I ran slmgr -ato and got the following, more detailed error:

That error is usually the result of a poor internet connection of some kind - often caused by hyperactive firewalls or Anti-Virus software.
Try booting to a Clean Boot and then activating.

Hello sc456a,
The product key you have is not the correct product key for Windows Developer Preview.
The correct product key for the client version is:o Client = 6RH4V-HNTWC-JQKG8-RFR3R-36498
To activate go to the Start Screen, type 'Activate Windows'. This will take you to the apps page. Click on Setting.
You will see Activate Windows button, select it.
Your computer should now be activated.
Thanks,
