I can't size a drawing object using a macro in word 2010 RRS feed

  • Question

  • Macro --> Record Macro

    When I select and then size the drawing object while recording the macro, the drawing object resizes.  Upon completion, however, there is no macro recorded.  All I get in the "edit"box is:

    Selection.MoveLeft Unit:=wdWord, Count:=1, Extend:=wdExtend

    What is going wrong?  How do I fix this?

  • There are many things that cannot be done with the macro recorder.  You need to write code such as

    With ActiveDocument.InlineShapes(1)
       .Height = 10
       .Width = 10
    End With

    Hope this helps.
