        requestData.Properties.Title = "Sharing Text";
        requestData.SetHtmlFormat("<div>Testing app</div>");

    here is my code to share URL
       DataPackage requestData = request.Data;
       requestData.Properties.Title = "Sharing URL";
       requestData.SetUri(new Uri("http://www.microsoft.com", UriKind.Absolute));

  • I have confirmed that this issue is by design on the Mail app in Windows 8 as well as Windows 8.1 Preview (announced at Build). I have passed on the feedback to the Mail app team to consider fixing this for the Windows 8.1 RTM release.

  • The problem appears to be with the Share Target (Mail app) rather than with the Share Source (your code). The "Sent from Windows mail" pane is what the Mail app populates for you, so you don't have control over it. I will share this issue with the Mail app folks, but it looks like it is currently by-design.
