Extract entity strings from an item in a mail app for Outlook not working in appointments RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

I tried the code for Extract entity strings from an item in a mail app for Outlook as illustrated at

    http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/fp161071.aspx#olowa15conagave_entitiesXMLManifest

The code worked well for email but it's not working for appointments (I added URL's and email addresses for the body of emails and for the body of appointments). Anyone can help with this?

    Thanks,

    Eran

  • Hi Eran,

Appointment bodies are in RTF format, so it is not parsed by Exchange.

This is the reason it does not give you any element for the appointment body.

  • Is it in the plans for any future version?

At this point, a real integration with Outlook using the Apps API is quite limited.
Far from what we can do in Add-ins.

    Thanks,
    Moshe

  • Hi Moshe,

At this point we do not have much idea about whether this would be a part of the future version.

I would suggest you to keep an eye on http://blogs.msdn.com/b/officeapps for latest news on Office Apps.

    Thanks,
