Socket Closed error - When connecting On Prem Oracle to Data Factory RRS feed

  • Hi there,

Looks like there's could be an issue with the configuration. Are you using an ODBC connector? ADF now has an Oracle connector now. Can you please revisit the doc to make sure that the configuration is fine :

    https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/data-factory/connector-oracle#linked-service-properties

    Hope this helps.

  • Hi, I tried the same configuration from my local machine without any issues, so my guess ODBC Trace or Snoop wouldnt be able to help out much.

Addition to that, you stated that ADF has an oracle connector now, can you provide me further details on this? As what i'm doing now is not using an oracle connector?

  • Hi there,

    Sorry for the delayed response.

From the screenshot you shared, I think you are using the Oracle connector already.

The one thing that I just noticed is that you have an on prem Oracle source you are trying to connect to. Please have a look at the following doc for details on how to connect :

    https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/data-factory/v1/data-factory-onprem-oracle-connector

Please make sure that you have all the prerequisites including Data Management Gateway sorted.
