Communication with the Underlying transaction manager failed

Question

I am getting the "Communication with the underlying transaction manager has failed" error. I DO NOT GET IT ALL THE TIME. It occurs once a day, and it gets resolved by its own. Can you suggest what could be wrong with MSDTC ?
