  • Hi rajemessage,

In short, the former is the name of a subkey in Registry.
The note only makes it clear that the name of a subkey doesn't have a period(.).

  • Hi rajemessage,

The format of .net framework is .net framework 4.5/4.5.1/4.5.2/4.6……. In registry editor, the format of .net framework is 378389/ 378675/ 378758/ 379893……which could be called net framework.

    Best regards,

    Joyce
