How to use Command Line to Deply Windows Store APP by Remote Tools of Visual Studio 2012.

    Question

  • Hi,

I wish to build and remote deploy Windows Store APP to Windows RT tablet by command line.

I known MSBuild allow my to build a VS project by command line:

    http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/vstudio/ms164311.aspx

Is it also possible for Remote tools of Visual Studio 2012?

  • Hi Rob,

    Thanks for your kindly reply.

I have another question: Can Remote Tools remotely uninstall (manually, not by command line) Windows Store APP on a Windows RT tablet?

Because I want to make sure my binary and sendbox appdata folder are clean and updated  for every deploy.

There's a MSDN document talking about running Windows Store apps on a remote machine:

    http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/windows/apps/hh441469%28v=vs.110%29.aspx

But it seems there's no way to remote uninstall an APP.

  • This is an old thread, but still, you can remotely uninstall Windows Store App by running powershell remotely.
