SAP read table problem. RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

I'm trying to read the cluster table using "RFC_READ_TABLE" rfc using wcf channel, it gives me the following error:

    Details: ErrorCode=RFC_EXCEPTION. ErrorGroup=RFC_ERROR_APPLICATION_EXCEPTION. SapErrorMessage=DATA_BUFFER_EXCEEDED. AdapterErrorMessage=Error returned by RfcCallReceiveEx while calling RFC: RFC_READ_TABLE..

Also is there any way for reading the tables directly? instead of calling the RFC_READ_TABLE for reading the table.

  • The error is being thrown by the RFC itself, not the adapter.

You should consider using the SAP ADO.NET provider.

  • Hi Mustansir,

Thanks, but it needs to install two custom RFCs. OH! I'm using demo version, so I don;'t have rights to install it, is there any alternative way?

    Thanks again.

  • The adapter invokes whichever RFC the client tells it to. You need to consult your SAP expert to see if there is any RFC which will meet your requirements.

  • Perhaps you have exceed the length of the TAB_512 buffer. Verify that fields that you select don't exceed 512 octets with the séparator.
