Answers

  • The Microsoft .NET Framework 4 redistributable package installs the .NET Framework runtime and associated files that are required to run and develop applications to target the .NET Framework 4.

What is required on the XP machine if EF6 is to run on the XP machine when said .NET application is deployed to XP machine is the required .NET Framework runtime components installed on the XP machine, along with the required XP Service Pack.

  • Hi,

I moved this thread to ADO.NET Entity Framework and LINQ to Entities forum for better support because VS
    General Question forum  mainly discusses
the usage of Visual Studio IDE such as WPF & SL designer,
Visual Studio Guidance Automation Toolkit, Developer Documentation and Help
    System
    and Visual Studio Editor.

    Best regards,

  • Thanks - The general forum did not seem like the best place to ask the question, but I wasn't sure of where it needed to go.
