Azure queue based solution and mapreduce RRS feed

  • General discussion

  • I trying to design an architecture on windows azure like the one described in the customer scenario paragraph of this article http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/hh697709.aspx .

I can't however figure out why this solution is described as map-reduce design pattern?
Is there any connection between this architecture and mapreduce?
Do you have any ideas? Please help I get confused.

  • This design pattern has advantages for distribution and cluster computer. Queue is a way of one to one. Of course, You could use others design pattern, It depend on your requriment.

  • Billgiee thanks for your response.

Actually I am trying to understand whether the described solution is better from hadoop on azure, HDInsight. And if this architecture is mapreduce why shouldn't I use HDInsight?

It's seems to me like implementing your own mapreduce solution.

    Is that correct?Any help?
