corelibc.lib(armsecgs.obj) : fatal error LNK1103: debugging information corrupt; recompile module

    Question

  • I have an MFC project created from VS2005 on WinXP SP3 and want to edit it from VS2005 on Win7 Ultimate x64 (I have Visual Studio 2008 and Visual Studio 2005 Service Pack 1 + Visual Studio 2005 Service Pack 1 Update for Windows Vista installed)

The project is compiled, linked, and running fine if I build it against WM 6.5.3 DTK on WinXP.

When building against WM 6.5.3 DTK on Win7, I'm having a linking problem:

corelibc.lib(armsecgs.obj) : fatal error LNK1103: debugging information corrupt; recompile module

I tried to reorder the include folders & library folders for WM 6.5.3 but then I get other errors when compiling.

I tried to "repair" VS2005 installation, uninstall&reinstall WM6.5.3 DTK but still having the problem.

using WM 6 SDK to compile still works for now in both Win7 and WinXP (before adding features specific to 6.5.3). How do I fix WM 6.5.3 DTK installation?

I have Win embedded CE 6.0 R3 platform builder trial installed in my Win7.
