Is there a way to sync data to and from a SharePoint Online List using an Excel file?
If its not supported OOB then is there a workaround?
We can use
“Excel 2007 Add-in: Synchronizing Tables with SharePoint Lists” (SynchorinizeWSSandExcel.xlam) add-in with Excel to synchronize data in Excel tables with SharePoint Lists.
Per my test, it also works in SharePoint Online. We can sync data to and from a SharePoint Online List with an Excel table.

Though this is a good solution. It doesn't work for Office 2016 and SharePoint Online.
