import obj and mtl files RRS feed

  • Hi when I add an obj and mtl file (with associated mateirals) to a project the resulting 3D object does not have the materials applied. After digging into the markup it shows the following:

    <GeometryModel3D.Material>
             <MaterialGroup>
              <EmissiveMaterial>
               <EmissiveMaterial.Brush>
                <ImageBrush>
                 <ImageBrush.ImageSource  >
                  <BitmapImage CacheOption="OnLoad" CreateOptions="IgnoreImageCache" UriSource="Speaker2Surface_Color.png"/>
                 </ImageBrush.ImageSource>
                </ImageBrush>
               </EmissiveMaterial.Brush>
              </EmissiveMaterial>
              <DiffuseMaterial Brush="sc#1, 0.8, 0.8, 0.8"/>
              <SpecularMaterial Brush="#00000000" SpecularPower="0"/>
             </MaterialGroup>
            </GeometryModel3D.Material>

    It seems to me that the EmissiveMaterial tags should be DiffuseMaterial. When changed it all works fine.


    <EDIT> Fixed

    The issue is not with Blend its with how the materials are baked. Blend seems smart enough to work that out.
