WWT reports Binaries are not signed RRS feed

  • Question

  • Works with tool report failed due to signature verification

    The report log looked like this

    1/21/2009 7:32:29 PM :: Binary list
    1/21/2009 7:32:29 PM :: The following binaries failed signature verification:

    ....and the list of binaries.

    Can anyone let me know what exactly the tool is looking for ???

    I don't think its the strong naming of dll's which the too is looking for (correct me if i'm wrong)

    Is it the digital certificate which is needed to sign the application installer and the owned binaries ???

    Please suggest in lines of what is the procedure which needs to be followed to get rid of signature verification test case. Please help. Hoping for some replies.

  • The details on how and what needs to be signed is available in the requirements specification document and the test framework document for the Works with Windows Server 2008 program.

    Both documents can be downloaded here: http://www.innovateon.com/pageLayout.aspx?pageID=WinServer_Test_WorksWith

    Please download and read the sections specific to signing binary files and testing them.

    Let us know if that helps,
