Kinect V2 can't be connected to PC RRS feed

  • General discussion

  • Hello,

We've got Kinect sent from Germany four days ago and that day we were already using it - we properly connected it to pc and we were able to do everything we wanted with it. But we came back after few days trying to launch it again and sadly it wasn't be able to connect the pc. When we connect usb from pc to adaptor everything seems fine, but when we plug in the cable from Kinect to adaptor, PC can't recognize the device and keeps trying to recognize the Kinect unsuccessfully over and over again. What we could do to find out something?

    Thanks in advance.

  • If you reboot the machine does it work? If so, what is the USB3 chipset of the system? There have been systems we have seen where the driver gets into a unknown state which requires a manual reset of the driver. Additionally there may be other USB devices sharing the same host controller or bandwidth of the bus that causes data interruption. Try another system to ensure there is no defect with the hardware.

You can also try a PCIx Gen 2.0 USB3 card with a supported USB3 chipset. (see other threads on devices other shave tried). Be sure to follow the recommendation in the troubleshooting thread:
