office licence requirements for poverpivot 2010 and 2013 RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi All

Do anybody knows Powepivot ad-in for excel 2010 is working with all Microsoft Office 2010 licenses?

I know it is available for Office Professional Plus 2010. What about:

    - Office Standard 2010

    - Microsoft Office 2010 Home & Business

    - Microsoft Office 2010 Home & Students

Microsoft requirements for this ad-in are here:

    http://social.technet.microsoft.com/wiki/contents/articles/714.powerpivot-install-the-powerpivot-add-in-for-excel.aspx

and tells about Excel 2010 without any details. I know not all versions of Office 2013 enable working with Powerpivot but how is it looks like in Office 2010?

Do anybody knows Microsoft plans to include powerpivot to other Office 2013 licences besides professional plus, which is not available for home and small business users?

That's stupid thinking not allows to buy recent office versions.

For MS Office 2010 there is no limitation if the edition, you can use it with every edition.

In MS Office 2013 Power Pivot is available in Professional Edition and in Excel Stand-Alone
