Package could not be loaded via Windows Task Agent

    Question

  • Hi

Created an SSIS package and am able to run it via the project, but when the task agent runs it shows successful, but no update actually occurs in the destination system.

Does anyone know what/how to resolve these errors? do I need to build the solution in the folder the agent is actually is trying to fetch from?

  • Hi Ernestine,

    since the error text is

"The system cannot find the path specified."

Ensure "%PackagePath%\%PackageName%" expands to a valid path

  • Hi candls,

Please try to use double quotes to wrap your full path of package.

So the DTexec Command looks like:

dtexec /f "file path" /conf "Config Name path"

    Check if the issue persist.

  • tan the .bat from command line, and this is error.  The DB is SQL2008R2 and the visual studio shell is 2015. Can it be possible that I have to use the visual studio 2008 shell? If not, does anyone know what can cause this error?

Here’s the command line errors when attempting to run your batch file.

  • Hi Ernestine,

Yes, your SSIS is so old VS 2015 does not support it.

    Use BIDS 2008
