Using C++ libraries built with VS 2015 in VS 2013 projects RRS feed

  • Question

  • Is it possible to use C++ libraries build with VC++ 2015 in a project being developed w/ VS 2013?  I see in the documentation (Breaking Changes in Visual C++ 2015:  https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb531344.aspx) that binary interfaces were broken in some areas.  But are there usage scenarios where it can be supported?

No, this is not supported. If you want to do this, you are on your own. Frankly, I don't think that would be wise.
