Can't install NuGet in VS 11 Express on Win 8. Is it supported? RRS feed

  • Express does not support extensibility.

    Edit: Hmm...it seems to list Express as a valid target above, I will ping a NuGet developer I know

  • Argh....thanks.  Do you know if I need to uninstall Express to install Ultimate, or will it upgrade in place?

  • Actually Ryan/Bob -- NuGet is supported for Express.  The current installer in production doesn't but if you install from the CI build server http://docs.nuget.org/docs/start-here/installing-nuget then you should be unblocked.

  • I'm having a similar problem - I tried installing from the CI build server, and received a similar error to what Bob was getting above. Trying to install to VS11 Express Beta for Windows 8.
