Add New Fields to Existing InfoPath Data Source RRS feed

  • Question

  • I have an existing InfoPath form containing a few fields.

How do I add a new field (column) to the Data Source so I can add a that field (column) to the form?
I can modify in Visual Studio and add new fields to the Data Source but it gives me an 'Overwrite' warning message that I might lose my existing data.

  • Hi Shayaan,

It is not supported to add field from SharePoint and you when you get lose data warning, ignore it.

    Thanks & Regards,

If I open up my app in Visual Studio; It will let me modify my Data Source to add new fields (columns) but I wanted to modify in SharePoint.
