  • You can do it in the form's loading event. No user interaction required!

  • Not out of the box! you could possibly do it programmatically in the form. when the form is opened, send an email to yourself telling you that the form has been opened by the xyz user. This will not present the user with choices as is the case with normal read receipt in the Outlook where user is prompted to select an option (do you want to send the receipt, etc). That can also be done but requires lot of effort which is not worth it.

  • That sounds good, but if the form is embedded into an email and that view is read only would there be any available action to kick off the subsequent 'read receipt'?

  • That sounds really good, exactly what I need. How would I configure / find the loading event? (apologies for my ignorance)

  • SS A. Configuring the loading event looks to be the best answer, however relies on code. In order to resolve the issue we are experiencing we have configured the form to hide all sections until the user has acknowledged receipt via a visible button at the top of the form.
