  • I'm not familiar with CR, but SSRS opens many doors to learn other things besides reporting, t-sql language.
    Also, SSRS is becoming very dominant especially that it's shipped with the SQL Server suite for no additional cost and companies are seeing benefits for using it since they are already buying for the SQL Server.
    Moreover, SSRS is really evolving, and you can notice a tremendous change from 2005 to 2008.
