  • Question

  • Hi! Can anyone tell me how much does it cost you to develop an app for windows RT 8.1?

All full development enviroment like Visual Studio, Store access to  publish the app and all the stuff I need,

It's a freelancer project, and I think it might be only for 3 months...

So I would like to know how much I have to invest on it to get it done and working.

Also limitations on free versions (if any)

    Thanks everyone!

  • See Get started for all the details needed to get started including documentation, tutorials, and links to download the tools. Visual Studio Express is free and is sufficient to write and publish apps. The paid versions include more advanced tools (see http://www.visualstudio.com/products/compare-visual-studio-products-vs ) and have 90 day free trials.

See the Sign up page for information on opening an account. Account types, locations, and fees explains the different types of accounts and costs in different regions. From the MX in your name I assume you're in Mexico where the fees are 247 MXN for an individual account or 1140 MXN for a company account.

  • Visual studio express is free.

To publish app in store, it costs $100/year.  If you have a student account, it's free.
