Windows Store App Release 1 failed certification? RRS feed

  • Hi,

    I have submitted my app to store, but certification failied. Microsoft has send to me a mail. Can you explain it?

    Commons reasons why apps fail this requirement:

    • The app doesn't support at least one of the certification languages.
    • The app is functional in some of the languages it was submitted in but not all.
    • The info on the app's Description page (such as its description, features, screenshots, and so on) doesn't reflect the amount of localization in the app.

    A common reason why apps fail this requirement is when one or more screenshots appear to be graphically enhanced.

    Notes from Testers:

    A:: The description of this app did not appear localized correctly to our reviewer. A:: Screenshots are required for each language the app is supported in, and those must be localized for each language you select. Note: Screenshots need to be complete, appropriate for ages 12 and under, with localized captions. B:: The app has declared access to network capabilities and no privacy statement was provided in the Description page. C:: The app has declared access to network capabilities and no privacy statement was provided in the Windows Settings Charm. B:: During the review of this app, it did not appear to be fully localized for the markets and/or languages it supports.

  • So you have 3 issues. First question is what have you specified that you app is translated into?

    A: You need to add multiple translations for your marketplace description. Also your screenshots need to show translated text for each languages you said you support translations for.

    B: Apparently when they tested it on devices in a different language everything wasn't translated correctly
