Offline Map Using Bing For intranet WebApplication RRS feed

  • Hai,

     We are developing a web based application which needs to show information in a map application.We  developed an application using bing maps and found it satisfactory.But we need to host this application as a local intranet application.

    So i would like to know if it is possible to do so

  • There is no supported or legal way to do this with Bing Maps. You can look at using Open Street Maps data and creating an offline tile server from that data.

  • Are you asking if one is able to cache BingMap tiles on a server and use that for an intranet application?
    I guess the answer is no, as it would also breach the term of use.
