Service Fabric Cluster stuck in "waiting for nodes" status RRS feed

Answers

  • The nodes never came up. I tried deploying the same A0 size nodes to USWEST and after I got an initial deployment failure message for the VM scale set in the Azure portal, a few hours later the nodes magically appeared as ready.

However, I have been having intermittent issues publishing my Service Fabric application to the A0 nodes as well.

Everything works fine (deployment, publishing, etc.) with D1 VM sizes. Morale of the story is A0 nodes can't handle Service Fabric reliably and should be removed as an option when creating Service Fabric clusters.
