  • Hi Jow_jo_sunk_2555,

    Welcome to the MSDN forum.

I’m not quite sure about your issue. May I ask some questions?

Do you want to get Admin privilege in order to avoid permission limited when installing?

If so, you can try these steps to set your accout:

    1.     Right-click on My Computer

    2.     Click on Manage

    3.     Expand Local Users and Groups

    4.     Click on Groups

    5.     Double click on Administrators

    6.     Click on Add

    7.     Enter the account name on this machine that you want to assign administrative privileges to.

Do you want your project (created by yourself) to be installed with permission limited?

Then you may have to post your question here:

    Best regards,

  • If the setup requires elevated privilege then you cannot do it as a limited user. An administrator needs to be involved, whether supplying credentials at install time or pushing it to a limited user with Group Policy.

  • If an ordinary limited user could jusy become an administrator (without an administrator being involved) that would be a security breach.

If an ordinary limited user could create an MSI file that installes to restrictted locations and just have it work ( (without an administrator being involved) that would also be a security breach.

What are you trying to do?
