SSMA OLE DB provider error RRS feed

  • Question

  • I am getting this error while migrating an Access table to SQL table using SSMA.

" The following error occurred during migration of the current batch: OLE DB provider 'STREAM' for linked server '(null)' returned invalid data for column '[!BulkInsert].LaborRate'. "

Labor rate in Access is a Single and all rows have a value.

    What should I look at?

  • Looks like the "Labor Rate" column contains an inconsistent value for the data type mapping you have in SQL Server. You can try to identify this inconsistency or explicitly map to a different SQL Server datatype with can accomodate the inconsistency.

You can send a mail to ssmahelp@microsoft.com with a sample to reproduce this issue.
