Microsoft.Office.Core reference is missing after istallation of Office 2013 RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello,

I am working with VS 2010.

I have a project that works fine with Office 2007 and 2010.

I tried it with Office 2013, and it had some problems with Excel and Outlook.

In order to debug, I opened the project in order to update Office references.

But the Microsoft.Office.Core reference is missing.

I didn't found PIA for Office 2013, so I installed PIA for Office 2010.

But the Microsoft.Office.Core reference is still missing.

    Do you have any ideas?

    Thanks,

    Alex.

  • Hi Alex

Is this a VSTO solution? If yes, what kind (which Office template did you use)?

If this is not a VSTO solution, what kind is it?

Which versino of the .NET Framework does it base on?

Could you please give more detail about "the Microsoft.Office.Core reference is missing"? Was there no reference at all, or was there a "message" that it couldn't be found? From where did you create the references to the PIAs: the GAC or a VS folder?

  • Hi Cindy,

    thanks for your reply.

It is my fault. I had to add Microsoft Office 15.0 Object Library as a reference.
