Enterprise Library / Getting started RRS feed

  • Question

  • I apologize in advance if this is not the right forum for asking these questions... So basically this week I started a new job, and I've just been assigned to a C# project. They asked me to start investigating the Validation module from the Enterprise Module right away (more specifically, to investigate WCF validations, using the Enterprise Library); however, I have never used this library before, and to make things more complicated, I've never used WCF and C# either (though I'm told it's similar to Java, which I have already worked with).

So, where should I start? C#? WCF? Or with the Enterprise Library right away? Links would be very appreciated.

  • Hi,

You can start with C# through some internet tutorial sites and after that you can learn WCF.

Once you are familiar with it you can go for the Enterpraise library.

You can get some basic knowledge on the following article

And specific to validation you can go through the following sites.

  • After looking the links provided by karur, you can start learning the Enterprice Library 5.0 by downloading the Hands-On Labs. That is pretty good guide to learning it, including the validation.
