how to use ajax in master page

I am using visual 2008 and have used form tags in content page hence unable to use form tags in master pages and used ajax to logout .but ajax call throwing below exception .
Failed to load resource: the server responded with a status of 403 (Forbidden)

This should be asked in the ASP.Net Ajax & Ajax Controll Toolkit forum on forums.asp.net.
