Task scheduler doesn't run an exe when used the "run whether user logged in or not" mode selected on Windows 2008 R2 server?? RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

I have set up a task which run an exe file on the local system. The user under which it runs is a service account and also an admin on the system.

When I double click the, it does its purpose. But from the task scheduler, it does fire the exe, but doesn't do any of its functions?

P.S. When I try "run when user logged in" mode, it does run its functionalities.

Have been scratching my head over it for some time now. Some help will be greatly appreciated.
