Creating a folder in Data Lake fails - Connectivity error: Failed to connect to the remote endpoint


  • When I create a folder in my Data Lake Store in the portal using Data Explorer it gives an error (see screenshot):

    Connectivity error: Failed to connect to the remote endpoint. This may have been caused by client or server side firewall configurations, network connectivity problems, or other transport level errors

    Using Storage Explorer it does work but it does give an error in the portal.

    Any idea how to solve it?

  • Hello RalJans,

    I could not reproduce the error - can you try again? If it still happens, can you try from an InPrivate (or Incognito) window to rule out any cookies/browser plug-ins issues? Does it happen only on a specific network or from a specific browser?

    Let us know if you are still seeing the error.

  • I am also facing the same issue while creating folder on Azure data lake.configured firewall as well as tried with different browser but no luck.could you please help me to get rid of this.
