Could I check the enviroment that my app is running in,desktop or metro?

  • If I make a DLL which might create some UI elements,could it be attached by both metro app and desktop app?If ok,how could I check the enviroment wihich the dll is running in?

  • I do not think there is.  If your dll is platform independent then why would you want to do this?  Also, you would introduce the 'bloat' of any code that was written for the desktop case into your Metro style app.  Probably a bad idea right?

  • I don't think most people are getting the idea of Metro. Trust me, it took me a while as well when I started developing apps for WP. Having said that, desktop apps (native 32/64 bit) ones and metro style apps have different goals. Are you looking to unify them in terms of looks? Otherwise if you are looking for a typical control (say graphs and charts), those controls should be able to function on both 32bit and metro style without any major problems.
