no endpoint element matching this name could be found - randomly RRS feed

  • Question

  • I have a WCF service which has endpoints exposed using Wshttp and TCPBindings. This works fine under normal load. However under extreme load, I sometimes start getting following exception

Message: Could not find endpoint element with name 'NetTcpBinding_IWCFXYZService' and contract 'WorkflowService.IWCFXYZService' in the ServiceModel client configuration section. This might be because no configuration file was found for your application, or because no endpoint element matching this name could be found in the client element.

So if I execute this request in very short span for e.g. 250 times, it would fail only 2-3 times. I am usin TCPBinding for my test. The service is being called from within SharePoint and the endpoint entries are specified in SharePoint's web.config.

Any inputs on this would be highly appreciated. Most of the posts I have found till now get this message always but in my case it happens very rarely.
