Error Connecting to Azure SQL Server using SSMA for oracle script installer RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

I want to migrate AWS RDS oracle database to SQL Azure database. I am following below article

    https://datamigration.microsoft.com/scenario/oracle-to-azuresqldb?step=1

Below are the steps that I have done so far.

    1) Create AWS RDS Oracle Database

    2)Create SQL Azure Database

3)Installed SSMA for Oracle client on my laptop. However, while installing SSMA for Oracle Extension Pack on same machine, I see error message below when i try to connect to SQL Azure Database from this tool.

failed to discover extension pack database:Reference to database and/or server name in 'sysdb.sys.schemas' is not supported in the is version of sql server
