Sysprep won't run.... RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hey all,

    I have deployed a WES7 image to a CF card and ran sysprep (generalize, oobe, shutdown) via the GUI and then captured the image.

    I then deployed this image to a USB stick and made changes to the image such as a custom shell and other changed to policies etc.  I now am trying to run sysprep again in order to capture the image and when I double click on the sysprep exe (C:\Windows\system32\sysprep\sysprep.exe) the toilet bowl spins for a second and nothing happens.  i also tried running it from the command prompt...

    C:\Windows\system32\sysprep->sysprep.exe /gereralize /oobe /shutdown

    C:\Windows\system32\sysprep->

    I get no errors and the command prompt acts like it processed the command, but nothing happens.  I have ran EWF commit and disable before executing, but still no go.

    Any ideas?  I have disabled several services that I didn't want running.  Does sysprep have any dependencies?

    Thanks!
