How to create a non-recurrent Meeting Request? RRS feed

  • Question

  • Can someone please let me know, how to create a non-recurrent Meeting Request?

Also, is there any way to set default recurrence pattern?

  • I'm not sure I understand the question.  The first link shows how to create a single appointment (no recurrence).  Unless you specifically set the recurrence, the appointment will not recur.

If you are clicking, then I would guess you are using the Outlook UI rather than code (note that this forum is for developers, so I assumed you wanted to do this programmatically).  If this is the case, the same applies.  Don't set recurrence and the appointment won't recur.

  • There is a sample here:

The meeting requests will automatically be sent to attendees.

There is a sample for recurring appointments here: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ff869162(v=office.14).aspx

  • Thanks Dave for the reply. However, I asked how to create non-recurrent (one time) Meeting Request as I could not find any option to set the Meeting Request non-recurrent (one time). When I click on recurrence, there is no option for this. Can you please let me know, how to create non-recurrent Meeting Request?

  • Thanks Dave. You are correct. I was referring to the Outlook UI. Sorry for not mentioning it earlier.

I was confused when I clicked on Recurrence option in the ribbon in the Meeting Request and there was no option to make the Meeting only once (non-recurrent)
