Excel Pivot Table not Updating based on Powerpivot data model RRS feed

  • General discussion

  • Hello, I am running SQL Server 2014 SP2, Excel Professional Plus 2016 64 bit. I created a pivot table based on a Powerpivot data model connected to relational tables in sql server. The powerpivot data model updates properly but the pivot table does not update subtotals and totals properly. The data in the table will add up properly but the totals display a different value. I found two issues related to this: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/2932559/fix-totals-are-wrong-after-you-filter-on-a-pivot-table-item-and-remove-the-filter-in-ssas-2012-or-ssas-2014 and https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/211470/calculated-field-returns-incorrect-grand-total-in-excel. The latter is exactly what I am experiencing but my sql server is fully patched. Can anyone tell me if this is still a known bug or has a solution?

  • Thank you but that is not exactly the same issue.

I am not using a calculated field based on other fields. I am simply calculating the values in a column of data.
