App with WebView goes black screen after resume RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi all,

    I'm developing a WinJS application that basically hosts a webview. The problem is that when I suspend and then resume the app the screen goes black and the webview is not shown. The only way to restore the app is to close and reopen it.

    I think it is a drawing/refresh problem because even if I reload the page on the resume event nothing is shown.

    Windows.UI.WebUI.WebUIApplication.addEventListener("resuming", function (args) {
            console.log("ON RESUME!!");
            var token = appData.values["user_token"];
            if (token != undefined && token != "") {
                document.getElementById('login-pane').style.display = "none";
            } else {
        }, false);

    Any suggestion?

  • Hi lucacox,

    Nothing is shown means the console does not have "ON RESUME" or token text shown?

    To troubleshoot the issue, you may set some breakpoint in the resume part and then debug step by step to see if you can step into the resume logic.
