Send Port Exception Handling In Biztalk Server 2006 RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi All..

I have developed a Biztalk Solution where i used SQL Data at receive port using stored procedure and send this to SAP port where in response i get some token number which i need to store back to SQL table aganist serial number...

In production environment i am concerned if SAP port fails how should i handle exception objective is not to pick the same data from SQL instead if i can use something like retry on Port untill port starts to work ..but if i use this then the receive continously picking data from SQL so number of Xml will increasing ..which i think i not a good solution

Instead if we can reset flags in SQL table if exception is there ..or if we can stop receive port to not pick further Data from SQl...

What would be the ideal procedure to work for this senario in prodution Environment..

  • Hi Vittalaranga,

I think you have to use Microsoft BizTalk Adapter for MySAP Business Suite v2.0 ..This would be compatible for Visual Studio 2005 ..Pls check which version of Visual Studio are you using..

  • Hi All.
    My question still unanswered..
My question was regarding exception handling in Send Receive Port.
I am fetching employee data with unique serial number and sending this to SAP in response SAP returns some receit number which i again store back in SQL table ..
Now senario is if due to transmission failure or if wrong data is send to SAP ..i get either warning in Biztalk Console or i get error..
Client is asking to handle error or warnings by send mail to Administrator and reset the flags in SQL table so that it can again be ready for SAP...
How can i catch exception and second how i can read elements in suspended messages so that i can reset flag in database having unique serial number mentioned in Suspended Xml..

    Pls Help me out..
