SSL Certificate for Azure Cloud Service Not Working RRS feed

  • Question

  • I was asked to fix an SSL certificate for my company's Azure Cloud Service website that isn't working: the website loads perfectly when "www.mywebsite.com"(not the actual website name) is typed in the search bar, but it says that the connection is not secure. When "https://mywebsite.com" is typed, the page doesn't load.

I'm not sure what's wrong. The Azure Portal seems to show that the certificate was uploaded successfully. There's an A record pointing traffic from the domain name to the cloud service IP address.

It could be that the service definition and configuration files were not modified before the cloud service was created (per this article, which I cannot hyperlink: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/cloud-services/cloud-services-configure-ssl-certificate-portal), but I don't know how to access the files and check.

Any help on how to pinpoint the problem and fix it is appreciated!
