Migration Issue from Azure Devops Server (TFS 2019) to Azure Devops service RRS feed

  • When Migrating from Azure Devops Server (TFS 2019) to Azure Devops service error message high lightened in bold occurring but we have detached the project collection from TFS server. Still no luck.

  • Hi Ganesh,

    Before generating a backup of your SQL database, the data migration tool requires the collection to be completely detached from Azure DevOps Server (not SQL). 

    Detaching a collection is easily done from the Azure DevOps Server Administration Console on your Azure DevOps Server instance.

    SqlPackage.exe /sourceconnectionstring:” source server details” /targetFile:targetFilePath /action:extract /p:ExtractAllTableData=true /p:IgnoreUserLoginMappings=true /p:IgnorePermissions=true /p:Storage=Memory
