Kinect Explorer has stopped working RRS feed

  • My system is windows7. I installed the Kinect SDK v1.0.

    The hardware is detected and drivers is setup properly.

    The example program(Kinect explorer) works well in a very short time until an error occurred few seconds after it started.

    The program is ran by administrator 

    The error information in the VS2010 debugger is as follow:

  • I was having this exact problem. The cause, as far as I can tell? The system date was back in 2007. (I wasn't using the network or anything.) This is unlikely to be your problem, but may point you in the right direction.

  • can you post some hw info about the machine? CPU, RAM, USB host controllers, video and sound cards, etc?

    system: win7 32bit

    Video: ATI Radeon HD 5450

    Sound: AMD high definition Audio Device & Realtek High Definition Audio

    USB host: 

    Etron USB 3.0 Extensible Host Controller

    Intel(R) 6 Series/C200 Series Chipset Family USB Enhanced Host Controller(kinect plugged here)

  • Thank you very very much! That is my problem.

    The system date must not be set before 2011-4-25.

    That is weird.
