External Links between Schedules - Issues. RRS feed

  • Hello,

    We commonly open multiple schedules every day and apply external links between the two schedules.  My default for my templates are set not to show the external links (File, Options, Advanced).  My enterprise global is set to not show external links.  I realize this functionality control is project based.

    When I open multiple schedules, the external activities automatically show in the schedule.  This in turn changes my % complete in PWA.  Project Server is tied to one of our in house project management systems.  I continue to report incorrect data in both systems.

    I can uncheck the show external ....and it will remove the external activities, but they come back overnight during transfers.  Any suggestions on how to default every time to not showing external links when opening more than one schedule? 

    Yesterday, I fixed 6 schedules and today I now have 37 schedules with this issue.
