"The signer's certificate is not valid for signing" RRS feed

    Go ahead and move this. I've looked and I cannot find the correct forum.

    After publishing a project many times I'm now getting this error:

    "The signer's certificate is not valid for signing"

    I've searched and cannot find a reasonable answer for CSharp (there is a VB answer but I don't have the same options).

    Can someone please tell me how to fix this?

    I have many other apps at this customers and I hope this doesn't keep happening.

  • I had that. I just checked enable clickonce and it is a full trust application. It worked ran into another trouble loading the dlls, but if you are setup correctly it will work.

  • Okay found ClickOnce and it is already checked.

    But at least it's a start.

  • Do you have it checked under sign the ClickOnce manifests and sign the assembly under signing?

  • I see in the Signing tab that the Expiration Date is three days ago.

    That's most likely the problem. I selected a 2009 date and I hope that fixes it.

    What is this all about?

    Just "Sign the ClickOnce manifests" is checked

  • lol, don't know. I was very close to just coping in the exe file with a bat file. It took a long time and a lot of clicks for me to get it to work and install. It still won't install updates. I do know the signing it to verify the program and make sure there is a security certificate. It works fine just copying it in, but no matter what the install is very difficult to go.
